Recently Dr. Jordan treated the entire Jordan & Young team out for bowling & pizza. While we were all very excited to get out and have some fun, I think many of us were surprised by just how much fun it really was! We weren't dentists, assistants, insurance coordinators (they needed this outing most,) or hygienists. We were nine friends hanging out at the bowling alley; with a bit of friendly competition of course! We have all been working together for a significant amount of time, but its leisurely time like this that we get to learn things we otherwise may have never known.
For instance:
Dr. Karanki has a magical ability to throw a slow motion bowling ball. I'm not kidding, ask any of us! I am happy to say that her dental work is not nearly as slow as her bowling ball, so have no fear. We can get you in and out and on with your day smiling!
Kristy & Dr. Karanki hold the bowling ball "incorrectly" I put this in quotations because I was not aware there was a proper way to hold a bowling ball. I suppose I am still skeptical, however the bowling pros of the practice (Dr. Young & Sandy,) have both assured me this is a validated fact and myself & Dr. Karanki are simply weird bowlers.
Weird or not, Kristy did manage to score 3rd place! And Sandy breezed by everyone into 1st place, (with minimal bragging throughout the following days.)
Scores and form aside, we all had a really great time. It is great to be a part of such a special team, with a boss that understands getting out and letting loose is necessary! Sitting there and cheering everyone on over pizza and drinks, was ultimately just a lively reflection of how we are in the office. We are supportive of one another, and we celebrate our wins- with each other, and with our patients.
